Absences

A note is required when your daughter is returning to school following an absence. This can be logged in the Aladdin App or recorded in the absences section of your daughter's homework diary.

Enrolment

Scoil Mhuire caters primarily for children from the parish of St. Mary's, Lucan. Although Scoil Mhuire is a Catholic school, children of different persuasions attend and the diversity of religious outlook is respected. Our enrolment policy and application forms can be viewed here.

School Uniform

The uniform consists of: navy pinafore, navy cardigan, blue shirt, navy tie, navy socks and black shoes.
A school tracksuit is available to purchase from Bernard Owens in Leixlip, and this must be worn on days timetabled for P.E.

Healthy Eating Policy

Our school, supported by our parents, has adopted a healthy eating policy. Pupils are asked to bring a healthy lunch such as sandwiches, bread rolls, scones, fruit, salad etc. to school every day. Children are encouraged to drink water and to keep fruit drinks to a minimum. For this reason, sweets, crisps, chocolate, fizzy drinks and chewing gum are not allowed. On Friday however, children can bring a small treat for their morning break.
