Ready Steady Read – Grand Finale

Friday marked the end of our Ready Steady Read initiative, and we wrapped it up with our school-wide Readalong Raffle. With prizes for every class, there was a real buzz of excitement throughout the school.

A big thank you to all our pupils for their brilliant effort—not only did they read an incredible number of books, but they also helped raise funds for our new multi-sports facility. Your commitment and enthusiasm really paid off.

We’re proud to share that we raised a fantastic €9,775.34!
A special mention goes to Ms. Kenny’s 2nd Class, who raised the most—an impressive €712. They celebrated with a well-deserved Ice Cream Party!

Thanks also to Jeanine Byrne and the Ready Steady Read Festival Team for organising a fantastic month of events. Every class had the chance to meet authors, poets, illustrators, and playwrights—and to experience the joy of reading in new ways.

Thank you again to everyone who took part and supported the initiative. Let’s keep reading!
