Ms. Faughnan’s class went on an exciting trip to Microsoft Dream Space. Have a look at the photos and the recount her class wrote about their great day.
Microsoft Dream Space
Our class went on an exciting trip to Microsoft Dream Space. We got the bus from our school to Microsoft and we were in awe of the beautiful building. We met Amanda who runs Dream Space and she showed us around.
We were told we were a very lucky group because we were getting a visit from Dr. Christyl Johnson who is the Deputy Director of Technology and Research Investments in NASA.
Dr. Christyl was a fascinating person who gave us a talk on all of the things that she does in NASA and the achievements that NASA have made. She spoke about how NASA invented a specific speedo swimsuit which made swimmers faster, pumps to help clean water to allow people to drink it, as well as putting the rover ‘Perseverance’ on Mars. It was an amazing experience.
We also learned how to code robot spheros and moved them from planet to planet with our coding skills. We coded the spheros to move, change colour and name a fact about the different planets.
We even got delicious muffins and juice for our break. It was the best day ever.
