It's been another exciting week in Scoil Mhuire Girls' N.S., as pupils from Junior Infants to Sixth class enjoyed the 'Open The Door To Reading' event as part of our Ready Steady Read Festival 2024.
Creativity was truly unleashed as pupils and teachers redesigning their classroom doors to represent their favourite stories and fairytales. The result was an incredible display of decorated doorways, celebrating just some of the book titles our pupils have enjoyed since our reading festival began.
Every class then took part in a 'Book Walk' exploring the school corridors to discover all of the wonderful door designs at every class level, and to get ideas and recommendations for new books that they might read in the weeks ahead.
Many thanks to Ms. Annemarie Gleeson and Ms. Roisin Gleeson from the Ready Steady Read Festival Team, for organising this event, and of course a big thank you to all of our class teachers and pupils for creating their incredible door designs!
