Book Walk

Classes take part in our Ready Steady Read Book Walk
23-February-26
Book Walk

As the Ready Steady Read festival continues in Scoil Mhuire GNS the highlight of last week was our Book Walk. As part of this celebration of reading, each class chose a famous book and transformed their classroom door into a vibrant display inspired by its characters, setting, or themes. From magical worlds to classic adventures, the corridors are now filled with colour, imagination, and excitement.

The Book Walk gave every class the opportunity to tour the school and admire the incredible designs. As students walked from door to door, they tried to guess the books, spot familiar characters, and discover new stories they might like to read.

Most importantly, the Book Walk encourages a love of reading across the whole school. It sparks conversations about favourite books and authors, inspires children to pick up new stories, and brings our school community together through a shared celebration of books and reminds us all of the joy that reading can bring.

Thank you to all the teachers and pupils for the wonderful effort they put into their classroom doors.
