Our Ready Steady Read Festival is off to a roaring start ! The festival launched on Monday 19th February with the opening of the Monster Book Swap- a sustainable and environmentally friendly way to give our pupils access to quality book titles to read at home while giving their pre-owned books a second life with a new owner.

Before the February mid-term pupils from Junior Infants to sixth class to donated hundreds of books from home to our Monster Book Swap. We received a wonderful variety of books for all ages including traditional fairytales, graphic novels, picture books, fact and fiction so there was an amazing array of books on offer to suit all tastes in our Book Swap Shop this week.

All classes will have the chance to participate in the Monster Book Swap Event. Check out the picture gallery to see just some of our pupils as they searched for their perfect read.

The Ready Steady Read Festival will run until 22nd March with different activities each week to support our pupils' literacy journey. Don't forget to regularly check the News section of our school website, www.smgnslucan.com , to keep up to date with the latest festival news and events.
